We want to be transparent about how and why data about you and your browsing behaviors may be used in connection with our Site. Therefore, this Cookies Policy describes:

What cookies and online tracking technologies are; How we use cookies and tracking technologies; Your choices in managing cookies and preferences; and How to contact us.

To find out more about NEON and our approach to privacy, please read our privacy policy.

WHAT ARE COOKIES AND ONLINE TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?

Cookies:

A cookie is a small piece of data (text file) that a website, when visited by you, asks your browser to store on your device in order to remember information about you, such as your language preference or login information (“Cookies”). This enables a website to recognize you as you navigate the website and/or each time you revisit the website. Cookies are used for a wide variety of purposes such as to keep you logged in, to remember your preferences and settings, to analyze how the site is used by you, and to serve you advertising.

Cookies can be either served to you by the website you are visiting (“First Party Cookies”) or by another organization providing services to that website, such as an analytics company (“Third Party Cookies”). They will either be stored for the duration of your visit or they will remain on your device for a fixed period of time, which could be months or even years, so as to remember you across multiple browsing sessions.

Tracking Technologies (Web Beacons, Pixels, Tags, Scripts, Log Files):

Web pages, emails, and/or other electronic communications may contain small, transparent image files or lines of code that help record how you interact with a website, digital communications, and/or other online services (“Tracking Technologies”). Tracking Technologies are often used in tandem with Cookies (or the unique identifier of your Device) to help websites and application publishers better analyze and improve their services. For example, Tracking Technologies may be used to learn about the web pages you visit or which elements of a page or application you viewed; when and for how long you interacted with certain content; and/or whether you opened and/or clicked on marketing communications that were sent to you.

In addition, most websites and services delivered over the Internet also gather certain information and store it in log files when you interact with online services (“Log Files”). This information includes information such as the date, time, browser type, navigation history, and IP address of all visitors to a website.

HOW WE USE COOKIES, TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES, AND LOG FILES

Cookies:

When you use our Site, we may use Cookies to analyze our Site’s traffic and to collect information about the Device you use to access the Site, including hardware model, operating system and version, Internet Protocol (“IP”) addresses and other unique device identifiers, mobile network information, and information about the device’s interaction with our Site. We also may collect information about how you use the Site, including your access times, browser types, and language. For example, we use Google Analytics and other similar third party services, to collect statistical information about how the Site is used and accessed. These services use information such as your IP address, browser type, and/or unique identifiers stored in cookies on your device to record how you interact with the Site.

We may use this data alone or in aggregate form, as a statistical measure. This type of data enables us to understand how often individuals use parts of the Site. For example, these third party services help us to know how many users we have, which parts of the Site are most popular, what browsers are used (so we can maximize compatibility), the country or region where our users are located, and the demographics and interests of our users. This enables us to better understand who is using the Site and to improve and tailor the Site accordingly.

Tracking Technologies and Log Files:

When you use our Site and/or communicate with us, we may use Tracking Technologies to assist us in delivering Cookies, counting visits to the Site, understanding usage and marketing campaign effectiveness, and determining whether an email has been opened and acted upon. We may receive reports based on the use of these Tracking Technologies by our third party service providers on an individual and aggregated basis.

We also may use the information gathered by Log Files for our internal security audit log, trend analysis, and/or system administration as well as to gather broad demographic information about our user base. We may associate this information with your personally identifiable information as necessary to improve the Site. By visiting our Site, you affirmatively consent to our collection, use, and distribution of your data.

YOUR CHOICES IN MANAGING COOKIES AND PREFERENCES

Most common web browsers today, such as Firefox and Internet Explorer, automatically accept Cookies. In addition, you may visit our Site in your browser’s “private” or “incognito” mode, in which case Cookies will be set, but deleted when you close your browser.
